Digital customer loyalty rethought: Seamless customer relationship management thanks to mobile-pocket

MediaMarkt is Austria's leading electronics retailer. If you are looking for state-of-the-art equipment and good service, you will find it at MediaMarkt both in the store and online. MediaMarkt also wanted to take on this pioneering role in digital customer loyalty management and therefore relies on mobile-pocket.

Picking up customers where they are

As an omnichannel retailer, seamless customer relationship management on all channels is particularly important. Many MediaMarkt customers already use mobile-pocket or have already digitised their customer cards there. These customers were picked up exactly where they already are or were - in mobile-pocket. The app enables digital customer loyalty and uncomplicated communication with them. In addition, there are many customers who do not want to have their own app on their smartphone for every retailer whose customer loyalty programme they join. With mobile-pocket, they have all their customer loyalty programmes (including MediaMarkt's) in one app and are also informed about current offers, benefits and discounts.

MediaMarkt and mobile-pocket - a perfect match

The cooperation between MediaMarkt Austria and mobile-pocket was a perfect match: MediaMarkt reaches as many of its regular customers as possible digitally. Some of them via their own app, others via mobile-pocket. "Thanks to the mobile-pocket app, MediaMarkt Club members always have their benefits with them on the go," says Andreas Höglinger, Director Marketing & eCommerce at MediaMarkt. "The customer also benefits from customised promotions. Here, the customer benefit is clearly in the foreground."

41 percent more regular customers in mobile-pocket

The customers of MediaMarkt Austria are enthusiastic: the number of MediaMarkt regular customers in mobile-pocket increased by 41 percent in one year. The number of impressions increased by 75 percent. The change from Saturn to MediaMarkt was also supported in mobile-pocket with its own campaign. This was very successful with a click-through rate of 30 percent.

New level for digital customer relations

"With mobile-pocket as our partner, we have been able to raise our digital customer relationship management to a new level and now offer our customers all the benefits of the MediaMarkt Club mobile from a single source," says Director Marketing & eCommerce Andreas Höglinger.
